Auckley School

Auckley school bake off & defibrillator fund raiser.

We recently held an Auckley school bake off to raise money towards installing a defibrillator at our school. This competition was open to all children, parents and even teachers. We were overwhelmed with the amount of cakes that were made and brought into school to be judged, we really do have some amazing bakers among us. 

The cakes were judged firstly on presentation and then taste, our lucky judges consisting of Mrs Reynolds, karen and our very own celebrity Jamie Wimble had the hard task of choosing a winner in each category. The competition was fierce particularly amongst the teachers. 

KS1 winner was Freddie in year 1 with his extremely popular chocolate brownie, KS2 winner was a sister act Bethaney in year 6 and Ellie in year 5 with the scrummy delight, parent competition was won by Mrs Wimble and lastly the teachers competition was won by Miss Flint. 

The defibrillator has now been installed at the front of the school for the community to use as well as for anyone who may need this in school.

There was a special launch on Friday 13th January and we were able to meet some special guests, we had a chance of explaining how all the money was raised.
