Music at Auckley School
At Auckley School, we aim to make music an inspiring and enjoyable learning experience which develops the children’s musical skills and encourages a life-long love of music. We encourage all children to participate in a variety of musical experiences through which we aim to build up their love of music, self-confidence and sense of achievement.
We enlist specialist peripatetic teachers to deliver instrumental lessons including guitars, violins and clarinets. Our Year 4 children all learn to play the recorder as part of their music lessons. In addition, we offer our children the opportunity to be part of a band with Rocksteady.
We invite parents, carers and sometimes the wider community to our termly performances where we celebrate achievements in music.
Our school choir is growing each year and we are proud to take part in concerts such as Young Voices and Sing Out. We perform throughout the year at school events such as our Christmas fayre.
